North Country Animal Health Center strives to provide the best care for our patients. We go the extra step and make sure that pet owners and future pet owners are educated and informed about their pets. In the picture on the right, Jennifer Sands, LVT, our head technician, speaks to young future pet owners about how to interact with canines. Rocco, the Friendly Pug, allowed the children to listen to his heartbeat and helped Jennifer present the anatomy of canines and some of their concerns.

Stacey Scott, our kennel manager, demonstrated the different responsibilites in caring for caged animals and presented Imaus, the Sociable Ferret. Imaus allowed the children to look at his teeth and what to look for when clipping his nails. The children had a great time learning about the animals and the responsibilities along with them. The children enjoyed petting the animals while Rocco and Imaus adored receiving the attention.

If you are interested in having a free presentation for your organization, please give us a call at (315) 785-9505 or email us at ncahc@hughes.net
