Tina Graham, CVPM - Practice Manager

In 1997, Tina was hired by her current employers, Dr. David Plante and Dr. Teresa Dewey.  Tina was very enthusiastic about working in veterinary medicine, and Dr. Plante’s practice offered her many opportunities to grow.  During her time here, she has seen much change including moving the practice from a 1700 sq. ft. facility, into a new, ultra modern 6300 sq. ft. facility.  Today, the North Country Animal Health Center is the premier veterinary practice in Northern NY dealing with domestic animals and exotics and the only one North of Syracuse to hold AAHA certification.

Tina began seeking certification as Veterinary Practice Manager in 2000, knowing that it would benefit her and the practice.  After two years of study and much support from the practice owners, she successfully tested and gained the title of CVPM.  Of the over 15,000 veterinary practices in the U.S. and Canada, only a little over 100 managers have earned this distinction.  The certification program measure the knowledge and experience necessary to successfully manage the ever-changing business environment of today’s veterinary practices and requires a continued commitment to further improvement through continuing education. Tina’s continuing education consists of attending many conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada as well as participating in on-line courses.   She is currently the moderator for the Management Board on VetMedTeam.com and teaches several on-line courses through this site as well.

Tina lives in Chaumont with husband,Roger ; dogs, Steven and Stewie; and cats: Sammy, Siixty. She enjoys spending time with her Daughter, Fiance and 2 grandsons. She enjoys camping, boating and crafts.

Tim Plante - Maintenance Manager

Tim has been a valued employee of the North Country Animal Health Center for a great number of years.  He is the head of the maintenance department…a true “jack of all trades”.  He keeps the mechanics of the practice running smoothly on a daily basis. In his spare time, Tim enjoys sailing/boating, kayaking, tinkering around his house, flying remote control helicopters as well as playing keyboards and singing lead in the local legendary band “Shagnasty”.  Tim resides in Watertown with his long-time companion Kathy.  He also has 3 beautiful daughters: Tasha, Stacey and Ariel; and two cats (Jasmine and Jake).

Jennifer Sands, LVT - Head Technician

Jennifer is originally from Hudson Falls, NY. She received her A.A.S in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Canton in 2001 and her B.S. in animal science with a concentration in education from Cornell University in 2003. She is actively involved with the JCC community orchestra and wind ensemble where she plays the flute, and she is also the Daisy Scout leader for the Antwerp Girl Scout troop. She is a member of her church choir and the Northern Choral Society. In her off time she enjoys running, hiking and canoeing, photography and drawing. She resides in Antwerp with her husband, Robbie, son, Tracker and their dog Kayla (K-Dog).
