We ask that in an emergency you try to remain as calm as possible. Our staff will need to get important details from you and may ask you several questions. We want to give your pet the best immediate care and to do that we need all the information you can give.
You may call during our normal business hours if you have an emergency. A receptionist may ask you to hold so she can get a doctor to immediately assist you over the phone, so please try to be patient. We understand there are extenuating circumstances and want to do our best to help you and your pet.
North Country Animal Health Center has entered into a cooperative emergency coverage relationship with Animal Doctors Veterinary Clinic, Watertown Animal Hospital and South Jefferson Animal Hospital. This arrangement is widely practiced in areas without an emergency veterinary hospital. Be assured that all participating veterinarians will provide the best emergency care possible. Each veterinary practice will cover small animal emergencies, alternating weeks.
There is a doctor on call 24 hours a day. If you have a small animal emergency outside of regular office hours you may contact us at 785-9505 and our answering service will contact the on-call veterinarian.
